The Muslim Educators’ Network of Durham (MEND) was formed in April of 2017 and is comprised of Durham District School Board employees, including, but not limited to Superintendents, Administrators, Teachers, Educational Assistants, DECEs, and Employee Services personnel.  Both allies and identifying educators work  together actively with students and parents to create leadership opportunities and responsive structures that support inclusive spaces for all. 

 

MEND believes in bringing diverse communities together by empowering parents and activating community voice.  As a network, MEND is a proud partner of the Durham District School Board in its works to support the development of healthy and thriving learning environments where student achievement and well being are valued.
